My students gave me Teachers' day presents today. Haha. I was pretty surprised. I forgot i was carrying a teacher slash student identity at the same time. I suddenly realised i was playing two roles and having responsibilty that were at the extreme ends. haha.
The studying me forgot i was a tuition TEACHER.
I'm half a teacher i supposed. haha.
Thanks for the gift kids. Looks like i cant ignore Children's day gifts, Can i? haha.
In Craft of Writing lecture yesterday, There's this example to show the importance of punctuation. I thought it was very interesting. =)
The example: In class, the teacher told the students to fill in the punctuation marks for the following sentence.
Woman without man are nothing
The first that came up was a MALE student.
He wrote: Woman without man, are nothing.
(and all the guys in the lecture roared and cheered.)
The next that came up was a FEMALE student.
She wrote: Woman! Without, man are nothing.
(and all the ladies in the lecture roared and cheered even louder)
