Back From Bangkok

I'm back frm Bangkok.
heh. the plane landed yesterday night.
i'm so so tired that i slept till noon today.
and i still have tuitions later. =(
big yawn*

heh. shall update more about the trip soon.
Tons of shopping done.
i cant believe i shopped so much.
(as compared to the last trip. haha.)

BKK! here i come!

I'm going Bangkok in ten hours time.

Can you feel my excitement?!
woo hoo~
I know its gg to be an enjoyable one. heh.

I wanted to blog about my trip to Sentosa with my pals yesterday evening.
But i'm so so tired now.
i just got back from Mustafa( at about midnight) and i have not changed my Sing to Baht. haa.
I guess i'll talk more about the Sentosa trip (with more pictures) when i'm back.
xin and lin had already made an entry. haha
They were fast.
let me just post one photo first. (as of above)
we were in the Sentosa Express. heh.
We played luge, skyride, watched Song of the Sea(without me), took a strolled on the beach and Merlion Walk. etc. Even bought Vinco Doughnuts at Vivo city which we queued for 30 mins.
I seriously dont fancy doughnuts. But Lin is crazy over it and Xin is only addicted to her ordinary one. You know, the normal ones with sugar. haa
I sure had a great time. =) Too bad Wend cant join us due to her tuitions. Wished she was here with us too. The last yellow spot on sky ride was indeed for her. haha.

arrgh.
yawn. i seriously cant take it any longer.
its three thirty in the morning already.
i'm off to bed.

Anyway. i met my Uncle Rick for a little chat over my future this morning.
He had stopped by Singapore for a day and spared some of his time to talk to me.
I truely appreciate that.
The conversation covered topics on my interests, career, education...
Although its just a short 30mins, it did benefit me quite a bit.
(and it did allow me to see my family in a slightly different perspective.)
Firstly, it has widened my options of perhaps gg overseas to study.
Actually,i wld love to study overseas.
its alws just the money factor thats stopping me.
*shrugs*
i guess i shall see how my application for local uni turn out to be first.

he also drew out this venn diagram thing that looked sth like this.

we also talked about the various jobs that i think i've an interest in.
He wanted me to share and so i did. and he did suggest some to me too.
(His suggestions are based on his experiences and a test i did sometime this week.)

its highly recommended by my uncle.
it helps u identify your strength and it does aid you in choosing your career. =)
i shall post the results of my top 5 strength the next time. heh.

Just to add on,
i'm gg Bangkok in two days time.
i'm so excited. yes pris. MONDAY! haa.

but sadly, i'm also dying with the daily tuitions.
All the extra lessons are draining me.
primary sch exams is round the corner.
i'm so tired.

i went Sentosa to sun tan on tuesday.
I'm a little burnt. but definately not as cooked as the silly one.
The sun was scorching hot on Tuesday.
Ouch.

and i happened to see Vanessa by the beach.
my Jc first three month friend.
what a coincidence.
It had been about a year since i last saw her.
she's someone that clique so well with me the first time we had contacted.
and i'll alws remember how we knew each other. haha.
there's sth really called fate.

Besides Sentosa,
i was at Queenstown and Ikea that night.
It was my first time there.
i know i'm kinda like a mountain turtle. haha.

Anyway, as i looked at the furnitures in Ikea, I daydreamed of my future house.
I'm gonna make sure i design my future home till its gonna be as cosy as a 6stars hotel.
heh.

Interview at NTU
its difficult to find block S3.2 in NTU.
but fortunately, i've got some nice friends to guide me.

the writing test was more like GP comprehension questions than a written essay.

an article was given to us and we were supposed to answer two questions.

it was mainly about major issues that Singapore is facing now.
GLOBALISATION.
FOREIGN TALENT.
SINGAPORE TALENT POOL.
blah blah blah...

then next was the interview.

it was relieving to know that its a one to one interview.
i can blabber whatever nonsense or sense i can think of to the professor without worrying about making a fool out of myself in front of the other candidates. heh.

well,
he's pretty nice to talk to.
and he has a really firm hand shake.

i like that.

its alws the case that people with a firm handshake are sincere people.
=D

btw. i've firm handshake too. haha.

Dinner was on rock today!

Am i fortunate or what? grins*
P.S. Rock wants others to know how fortunate i am. haha.

its nice to have working friends. haha.

we had Kenny Rogers in Marina Square.
and we got to know this rather good looking Indian waiter that winked at us everytime he served us.
He's very friendly to Rock. haha. or rather, Rock was the one that started crapping with him.

anyway,
it was a good time catching up. heh.

and i got the M&M DARK CHOCOLATES!
the one with the purple packaging that jus came into the market.

11th April 2007 Wednesday

Its a whole day of tuition.
My kids are getting increasingly adorable as each day goes by.
And as i learn the different traits of each kid, i deal with them better.

Seriously, the bringing up of a child lies alot in nurturing.
I feel that their background shapes their present character quite alot, though i wont deny that it has something to do with nature too.

i was at Orchard Ducktour this morning. Its called Animal Farm btw.
there's this caucasian lady that complimented the rides with 'awesome'.
Alexius and i immediately laughed after she left.
know why?
that is so PRISCILA! haha.

i LOVE the subway cookies i've got at night.

10th April 2007 Tuesday

Its Tuesday!
I was at Sentosa with Alexius.
Tanning, as usual.
However, we dint get much of the sun today.
It started to drizzle once we boarded the bus,
and i was told by Lin that Sentosa was pouring heavily!
haha. its lucky in a way that it will be near to an hour trip before we reach Harbour Front,
the rain stopped when we reached.

I bought subway in for lunch.
it ended up as more of a picnic by the beach for me than to tan.
i'm pretty dark anyway. and its really difficult for me to lose my tan.
(Can you believe it? I'm darker than lin. The Sentosa girl.
p.s. i'll alws visit you whenever i go Sentosa k. hehe.)
Sweets got abit of the heat and sun before it starts to drizzle again.
we managed to take a couple of pictures. hehe.
I know you envy my tan baby! =P

n today was my first experience in catching a movie at Vivo.
heh. ' Because i said so'
thats the movie i watched.
pretty great movie i would say, its worth catching. =)

Had some Korean BBQ chicken before we left for home.
Its at one of the small stalls near Vivomart. I forgot the name of the stall though.
Its surprisingly yummy.
I will be back for it!


9th April 2007 Sunday

Its Kassapa outing.
and after so long, i finally saw Rock, Marc, and a few other Kassapians.
Cafe Cartel. thats where we had our gathering lunch.
i had my usual dory fish and i still love the homemade bread with mustard and tomato. hehe.

Then we headed to the arcade and played my hot favourite game now.
and know what?! zeyan is as addicted to it as to me! haha.
we were screaming really crazily with laumongster trapped in between us.
i'm sure he had fun experiencing the thrill! haha.
and marc was laughing at our screams!
evil! haha

its not long before the overslept pearlydearr reached.
and we managed to convince laumongster to watch 'Meet The Robinsons'
yippee!
I dint really expect a moral out of it. I was just pretty attracted to 'tiny', the dinosaur which i thought was pretty cute.

Keep Moving Forward!!
Everyone has to.
and its only when you stop focusing on the flaws and 'failures' in life.
You will be much more contented and happier, you will look forward to the future.

Dont let grudges, or anything negative sink into you.
it wont do you good.
After all.
we are coming back here again.. and again.. till.. you know when. why suffer the same fate?
and i believe only you own the strength to pull yourself out of that every negative state.

I went for a run with mao this very night.
I haven been jogging for vy vy long.
I feel good. Feel the adrenaline rush!

I Met Wend for dinner.
its a lovely catching up at this prata shop in Novena.
I haven been seeing her for so so long,
but that dint stop us from talking.
There are alws friends that share a certain kind of bond despite not seeing each other often.

one thing for sure.
I miss the secondary school days as much as her.
and wend! U are the first to turn 19 this year!! haha.
I'm sure lin and xin are laughing along with me.

holland village
i went to holland village on Tuesday night.
had dinner at this 'mian' stall (ipoh hor fan) before gg to NYDC to savor some delicious mudpie.

its yummylicious! heh
i do have a sweet tooth at times.
n i found the korean cheesecake cafe i saw on tv mobile. heh.
i'm going back there with my sweetie the nxt time, arent we?

heh. grins* ^_^

the place also reminds me of jan and prisxci when we visited Wala Wala weeks ago.
play nice band music which we dint really get to enjoy the other time.
Are we going to visit there again my dears?

Anyway overall, Holland V is a pretty cool place to hang out.
with all the Cafes and restaurants gathered there.
Cafes at affordable pricing.
A great place to go if you need a place to just chat and catch up with your friends, or enjoy some romantic moments with your love. heh.
but i must say Holland Village seems like a rich man village though.
Many westerners and
there are surely a number of high ends restaurants too.
EXPENSIVE! heh.

No sentosa. Holland Village is good enough for 'mytuesday' day.

SGH, i'm really familiar with this hospital.
went there a couple of times last year when my grandmother is hospitalised.
i'm glad its a smooth operation, auntie just need ample of rest now.

its crazy to go Sentosa in such a rush and last minute decision just to tan.
but i love doing crazy things with my love ones.

and breakfast was great!
it has been long since i enjoyed breakfast this much!
